Global Virtual Cancer Conference

From 2019 to 2023, Gryt Health hosted GVCC, a free virtual conference built by cancer survivors and caregivers for patients, caregivers, and the professionals who support them.

By the numbers

In its first four years, GVCC brought together more than 8,000 attendees from nearly 55 countries, over 200 speakers, and more than 100 nonprofit patient advocacy organizations sharing resources with the people they serve.

Year by year

GVCC19

The inaugural conference drew more than 3,000 registrations and more than 100 pharmaceutical and nonprofit partners.

GVCC20

Held November 13 and 14, 2020, with a keynote from former Buffalo Bills quarterback and oral cancer survivor Jim Kelly.

GVCC21

The third annual conference, held November 11 to 13, 2021.

GVCC22

The fourth annual conference, held in November 2022.

GVCC23

The fifth annual conference, held November 3, 2023, as a full day of interactive sessions on patient advocacy and self-advocacy, community building, the impact of the patient voice, and managing mental health during and after a diagnosis. It was listed by the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC).

How it worked

Sessions ran on Gryt’s own platform, with live presentations, performances, and breakout rooms. Registration was always free and open to everyone.

Watch and keep learning

Many GVCC sessions are available on the Gryt Health YouTube channel. Gryt’s live programming for patients and advocates continues through The Advocacy Exchange, and coverage of past conferences is on our media page.
